Services for Residents
The Services for Residents maintain the register of residents, which provides information about the personal details of all residents and about the status of the population. the services for residents issue the following ID documents and certificates: applications for ID cards, place of origin cards, place of residence cards, character references and certificates of ability ot act. In addition, the Services for Residents, in collaboration with the cantonal Migration Office also regulate the residence permits of foreign nationals. The second largest shopping centre of the canton of Thurgau is the Amriville on the Kirchstrasse. On the Bahnhofstrasse you will find many retailers. In the industrial area Schrofen outside of the centre, in the west of the town, there are additional shopping facilities.
