Dog owners must present an obligatory certificate of expertise (SKN) and attend a training course with their dog. The Kynological Association of Amriswil and the surrounding area offers such a course.


Owning a dog is subject to a fee and the proven attendance of a dog training course is stipulated. The dog licence is used for the necessary infrastructure of the town of Amriswil. For the first dog, it costs 80 francs per year and for each further day in the same household 130 francs.
